Reverse Engineering with Reverse Geometry X-ray® Imaging

NASA Ames Research Center's high voltage pulse forming network for the Hyper-velocity Free Flight Facility (HFFF) built in the 1960's.

  • No schematics are available for this complex circuit of coils and resistors encased in an 5" x 5" x 2" epoxy block. Images were made through both 5 inches and 2 inches.

  • This RGX® image reveals the hidden components and will save NASA money as it maintains the HFFF to perform studies of objects in rapid motion.
