Motionless Laminography X-ray (MLX®)  Concept

Examples

What Are Layer-by-Layer (laminographic) slices?

Ordinary (transmission) radiograph is the "shadow-graph" of features on both sides of the coin.
Using MLX®, the "Head" slice (or layer) is virtually distinct from "Tail" slice

Laminography Technology

What is Motionless CT™?

Digiray® produces its patented Motionless CT™ using

Motionless CT™ allows you to view one layer at a time within the object. This special kind of laminography "peels" away the outer layers of the object, and examines what lies below the surface. By storing each layer separately, RGX® Motionless CT™ can perform computed tomography. Unlike conventional "cat-scans", RGX® Motionless CT™ requires no expensive moving parts.

A single x-ray exposure provides enough information to strip away all obstructing layers and reveal the layer of interest.

Motionless CT Examples

Motionless CT vs. Conventional Computer Tomography (CT)

Motionless CT™ advantages:

  • While CT relies on multiple repositioning of the x-ray source relative to the object of interest, RGX® Motionless CT employs no moving parts.
  • And while CT requires multiple x-ray exposures, you acquire Motionless CT images with a single exposure, dramatically decreasing radiation dosage and increasing throughput.
